This isn’t the coastal run. We hug CT01, CT08, and QL217 before climbing into Quang Tri. Share these timestamps with your landlord or coworkers so they know exactly when you’ll be offline.

The convoy rotates through Thanh Hoa and Nghe An. WhatsApp voice notes go out at every fuel stop with weather + ETA updates as we descend toward QL9.
Lao Bao sprint
Fixers stage inside Dansavanh, submit Laos VOA forms, and coordinate re-entry proof for our visa desk. Expect a Ho Chi Minh Highway sunset before dropping back into Tay Ho.

Northern route details
Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho riders load first (03:30–05:00). Long Bien, Gia Lam, and Soc Son pickups follow, and you can request to finish back in Tay Ho even if you started in Gia Lam.
We stop twice between Thanh Hoa and Nghe An for fuel and restrooms, then grab a quick meal in Quang Tri before rolling into Lao Bao ahead of the buses. Expect 12–13 hours door-to-door.
Yes—if weather or government convoys slow QL9, we have motel partners in Dong Ha and Thanh Hoa plus a Gia Lam concierge who can hold luggage or book a day room until the vans return.
